Tangy, sweet, spiced. The Apple Chai Shrub is made with seasonal apples, apple cider vinegar & Masala Chai Concentrate. Simple to make, this drink can be spiked with bourbon or brandy for an easy made-to-order cocktail.

For the shrub:

  • 1 Cup Of Grated Red Apples (About 1 medium apple)
  • 1 Cup Of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • ½ Cup Of Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup Of White Sugar
  • 4oz Masala Chai Concentrate

For the cocktail:

  • 1oz Chai Apple Cider Shrub
  • 2oz bourbon
  • Dash of bitters
  • Sparkling water

Step one: Make the shrub

Combine grated apples, apple cider vinegar, brown and white sugars, and chai concentrate in a jar. Stir, then cover and place in the fridge for 2 or 3 days. After a few days, strain the shrub.

Step two: Make the cocktail

Combine 2 oz bourbon with 1 oz Apple Chai Shrub & bitters in a glass over ice. Top with sparkling water & serve.
